HOW DO CREDITS WORK?
-
On the first day of each month, when your credit card is charged for membership dues, your account will be replenished with the amount included with your plan.
All credit transactions take up to 24 hours to post to your account. -
The value of one credit is $4.00, but higher membership tiers enjoy discounts.
- Tier 1: $200/mo = 40 credits @ $4.00 ea.
- Tier 2: $425/mo = 125 credits @ $3.40 ea. (15% discount)
- Tier 3: $750/mo = 250 credits @ $3.00 ea. (25% discount).
Your account is always charged the per-credit rate above for your selected tier, for both your monthly allotment and any overage. -
No longer do you have to whip out the credit card to put down a deposit. Credits are automatically deducted from your account at the time of booking, for the full session duration.
Each studio has a defined credit cost per hour. For example, Fender A = 8 credits per hour, and Fender B = 4 credits per hour. It’s cheaper for members in higher tiers because each credit costs less in higher tiers. -
Not a problem! Book as normal. If you go over your available credits during any given month, we’ll charge your card on file for the overage on the first day of the next month. The price per credit will be determined by the discount included in your selected plan.
-
You may be entitled to a refund of credits for canceled sessions, according to this schedule:
- No refund for cancellations within 24 hours of session start time;
- 50% refund of credits for cancellations within 72 hours of session start time;
- Full refund of credits otherwise
Rescheduled sessions follow the same refund schedule. We’ll apply your credits to the new session, but there may be a deduction if rescheduling occurred too close to the original session’s start time. -
As long as there is not another session scheduled, your session can extend past your scheduled time.
Our system knows what time you exited the studio, and your account will automatically be charged additional credits for the overage. There is no longer a need to initiate a “settle-up” transaction.
If you’re just a little late exiting the studio, no problem. No charge for anything under 15 minutes. -
If you joined MAPS prior to January 1, 2025, AND have selected a new plan before March 1, 2025, you automatically enjoy “legacy pricing” on Fender A and Fender B studio bookings (only), effectively locking in the hourly rates in your pre-2025 agreement.
This means that the credits charged for each booking will be the equivalent of the hourly dollar rate specified in your most recent MAPS agreement in effect before 2025: a block of special rate hours (if any), and then $25/hr for Studio A and $12/hr for Studio B for hours beyond that.
After booking a session at the current credits rate, a refund of credits will post to your account (within 24 hours) to match the above.
This “legacy pricing” will remain in effect as long as you have an active membership plan with MAPS, and will permanently be forfeited if membership is ever canceled. -
Some do! Not all. A limited amount of unused credits will automatically “roll over” to the next month—up to the amount of your monthly allotment.
Example 1: Your plan gives you 125 discount credits each month. At the end of the month, perhaps your remaining balance is 75. Those roll over to the next month, and with your next allotment, your balance becomes 200 credits.
Example 2: Your plan gives you 250 discount credits each month. At the end of the month, perhaps your remaining balance is 400. 250 credits roll over to the next month, and with your next allotment, your balance becomes 500 credits.
The maximum number of credits you can have at any one time is 2X your monthly allotment.
Credits are not sharable or transferable, and may not be redeemed for cash. -
You may change plan tier at anytime, but the changes will not go into effect until the first day of the next month.
If you’re downgrading your plan, both your monthly credit allotment and rollover amount reduce, which means your maximum credits you can have at any one time will be less.
If you’re upgrading your plan, both your monthly credit allotment and rollover amount increase, which means your maximum credits you can have at any one time will be more.
There is no refund for lost or unused credits. -
You may cancel your membership at any time. Your account will close on the first day of the next month, and all credits will be forfeited.
You may continue to book sessions that are scheduled for a date prior to the first day of the next month, but may not schedule session beyond that.
If you have a negative credit balance, there will be one final settlement charged to your credit card on the first day of the next month.
Credits can not be shared, transferred, or redeemed for cash.
Lastly, Legacy Pricing will be permanently forfeited upon membership cancellation, and cannot be reinstated if you rejoin in the future.
