HOW DO CREDITS WORK?
-
On the first day of each month, when your credit card is charged for membership dues, your account will be replenished with the amount included with your plan.
All credit transactions take up to 24 hours to post to your account. -
The current value of one credit is $4.00, but it could change in the future. Higher membership tiers enjoy discounts.
- Tier 1: $200/mo = 50 credits @ $4.00 ea.
- Tier 2: $425/mo = 125 credits @ $3.40 ea. (15% discount)
- Tier 3: $750/mo = 250 credits @ $3.00 ea. (25% discount).
Your account is always charged the per-credit rate above for your selected tier, for both your monthly allotment and any overage.
Ex: if you have a -100 negative credit balance at the end of the month, the overage charge would be $400 for Tier 1, $340 for Tier 2, and $300 for Tier 3. -
No longer do you have to whip out the credit card to put down a deposit. Bookings pull from your credit balance instead.
Credits are charged during the month a session occurs, not when the session was booked. After booking a session, you will see a “pending” credit deduction. After the session concludes, then the credit charge will post.
Each studio has a defined credit cost per hour. For example, Fender A = 8 credits per hour, and Fender B = 4 credits per hour. It’s cheaper for members in higher tiers because each credit costs less in higher tiers. -
Not a problem! Book as normal. If you go over your available credits during any given month, we’ll charge your card on file for the overage on the first day of the next month. The price per credit will be determined by the discount included in your selected plan.

Some do! Not all. A limited amount of unused credits will automatically “roll over” to the next month—up to the amount of your monthly allotment.
Example 1: Your plan gives you 125 discount credits each month. At the end of the month, perhaps your remaining balance is 75. Those roll over to the next month, and with your next allotment, your balance becomes 200 credits.
Example 2: Your plan gives you 250 discount credits each month. At the end of the month, perhaps your remaining balance is 400. 250 credits roll over to the next month, and with your next allotment, your balance becomes 500 credits.
The maximum number of credits you can have at any one time is 2X your monthly allotment.
Credits are not sharable or transferable, and may not be redeemed for cash.
MEMBERSHIP CHANGES
-
You may change plan tier at anytime, but the changes will not go into effect until the first day of the next month.
If you’re downgrading your plan, both your monthly credit allotment and rollover amount reduce, which means your maximum credits you can have at any one time will be less.
If you’re upgrading your plan, both your monthly credit allotment and rollover amount increase, which means your maximum credits you can have at any one time will be more.
There is no refund for lost or unused credits. -
ou may cancel your membership at any time. Your account will close on the first day of the next month, and all credits will be forfeited.
You may continue to book sessions that are scheduled for a date prior to the first day of the next month, but may not schedule session beyond that.
If you have a negative credit balance, there will be one final settlement charged to your credit card on the first day of the next month.
Credits can not be shared, transferred, or redeemed for cash.
Lastly, Legacy Pricing will be permanently forfeited upon membership cancellation, and cannot be reinstated if you rejoin in the future. -
Yes! You may elect to pause your membership once, in any rolling 12-month period, for up to three months.
You will not be charged during this time, or receive the allotment of monthly credits. As such, you may not schedule or conduct any sessions during the paused period.
Your credit balance prior to the pause will will be frozen, less any credits that would normally expire.
In other words, the pause period will be just like a void that never happened. No benefits, no costs.

SESSION ACCOUNTING
-
Start time is logged as when you power up the booked room, or the scheduled start time, whichever is earlier.
End time is logged as when you power down the booked room, or the scheduled end time, whichever is later.
Each session is allowed 15 mins total grace period. If early start + late end is 15 minutes or less, we’re not gonna worry about it. But if greater than 15 minutes, then you are charged credits for the entire overage duration. -
As long as there is not another session scheduled, your session can extend past your scheduled time.
Our system knows what time you exited the studio, and your account will automatically be charged additional credits for the overage. There is no longer a need to initiate a “settle-up” transaction. -
Cancellation policies suck. We’re adverse to paying for things we don’t receive, and so that’s why we’ve been tepid about enforcing this. But it’s time. MAPS has a responsibility to all our members to keep the calendar clean & clear for everyone. Being slow to take a time slot off the calendar can really mess someone else up.
You may be entitled to a refund of credits for canceled sessions, according to this schedule (rules apply in top-down priority order):
No refund for cancellations within 24 hours of session start time; then
50% refund for cancellations within 72 hours of session start time; then
75% refund for cancellations occurring 48 hours after the time booking was created (this is new*); then
100% refund if booking cancelled within 48 hours of creation
The above timeline and refund amounts also apply to rescheduled sessions. As always, please cancel/reschedule sessions via the link in your booking confirmation email.
*Due to the introduction of “pending” credits, it’s now possible to spam the calendar, holding more future time slots than is necessary because your client can’t seem to decide on a date. But this boxes out other members. The 25% fee prevents anyone from bogarting all the good dates, and keeps the calendar clean & clear for everyone.
We have not charged anyone cancellation fees yet this year. We will for cancellations occurring after July 1.
We encourage you to talk with your clients to A) ensure they are informed of the updated refund policy, and B) accept responsibility when they cancel, so you are not stuck with the bill.
Of course, if you have an extraordinary circumstance outside your control that transcends mere scheduling logistics and don’t feel a fee should apply, let us know. Some examples of reasonable waivers are: your car getting swallowed by quicksand; waking up in a different city than you went to bed in; and TikTok.
